The Burbank Tourism Business Improvement District (B-TBID) is a self-imposed, special benefit assessment district designed to generate funds for marketing and promotional efforts for the hospitality industry in Burbank. Hotel owners within the boundaries of the B-TBID fund its operations through a 1% assessment that is placed on overnight stays. Funding is used to increase hotel occupancy by marketing Burbank and its hotel partners as a tourist and meetings destination. The B-TBID was originally established in 2011 for a five-year term; then renewed in 2016 for an additional 10-year term though 2026. The B-TBID is governed by the Burbank Hospitality Association, a non-profit corporation. For additional information on the B-TBID, please click here to learn more about this special benefits of this assessment District.
